📣 **Share Your Knowledge at the 2027 KEHA State Meeting!**
Do you have a skill, program, project, or topic that other Extension Homemakers would enjoy learning about? We are now accepting **Learning Session Proposals for the 2027 KEHA State Meeting!**

Deadline is October 15th........
🌳 Our 2027 State Meeting will be held May 4th - 6th in **Owensboro, Kentucky**, with the theme **“Our Roots Run Deep.”**

Learning sessions are always an important part of our State Meeting, and we are looking for engaging and informative sessions that will educate, inspire, and provide new ideas for our members to take home and share.

We encourage Extension Homemakers, Extension professionals, community partners, educators, and others with knowledge or talents to share to consider submitting a proposal.

Bring your machine, grab a project, and come Sit & Sew with us! 🧵

Join us at the McLean County Extension Office on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM. There’s no cost to attend—just bring your sewing machine and something to work on. Johnna Gray of Stitches with a Purpose will be here to sew alongside you and offer guidance. She’ll also have a Pop-Up Shop on site if you’d like to purchase anything from her quilt shop.

Our upcoming dates are October 28, November 25, and December 23. Dates are subject to change or cancellation, so watch this page for updates. We hope to see you there!

🧵 The McLean County Homemakers Quilt Show is coming to Harvest Day! Whether you have a quilt to share or just love looking at them, we hope you’ll stop by the 4-H Building at Myer Creek Park on Saturday, October 24, from 1:00–6:00 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to enter, including non-Homemakers and those outside McLean County. Entries can be dropped off Monday, October 19-23 at the McLean County Extension Office from 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m or at the Myer Creek 4-H building from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23. Please bring a short notecard including information about your quilt or item’s history to display with it, along with your name and phone number.

Come enjoy the quilts, visit with sewing entrepreneurs, and stop by the Homemakers’ cookbook table for recipe samples from their 2025 cookbook! Bring your cash, our Homemakers have put together a small raffle with proceeds benefiting their club operating costs and given charities.

Quilt entries will be judged in the following categories:
-Oldest
-Viewer's Choice
-Best Patriotic
-Best Item Made from a Quilt
The winner in each category will receive a prize!

Join us for Intro to Mahjong on Tuesday, October 20, then come back for Guided Practice on Monday, October 26. Both evenings are from 5:00–7:00 PM at the McLean County Extension Office.

The cost is $35 for both nights and includes your own National Mah Jongg League card. Amanda Glenn will be our instructor.
