This tiny duck looks more like a floating jewel than a waterfowl.
The African Pygmy Goose is one of the smallest ducks in the world, living among lily-covered lakes and wetlands across sub-Saharan Africa. Despite its size, the male dazzles with rich green, chestnut, and white plumage that shines in the sunlight.
Often seen gliding between water lilies, it feeds on aquatic plants and seeds while staying hidden among the floating leaves.
A miniature gem of African wetlands, yet one of the world's most beautiful little ducks.
