A warm welcome goes a long way!

Camas High School’s ASB Leadership team hosted a special breakfast to help students new to CHS feel at home. Whether joining the district, transferring from another Camas school, or returning to the Papermaker family, new students had a chance to connect with fellow Papermakers and get the inside scoop on their school.

Students left with candy bags, CHS gear raffle prizes, and some new friends.

Prune Hill Elementary reached its Run 4 Fun fundraising goal! Despite some wind and rain, we kept the fun going at the sheltered upper playground. Families added to the excitement with creative outfits, encouraging signs, and cheers for our runners.

Thank you to families, the PTA and everyone who helped make Run 4 Fun a success. Wonderful things happen when our school community comes together!

Discovery High School’s math team has used Building Thinking Classrooms strategies for nearly eight years. Now, they’re partnering with neighboring Washougal School District to share ideas and strengthen math instruction.

Principal Daniel Huld recently joined educators at Jemtegaard Middle School for a collaborative lesson study. Together, they observed students in action, shared feedback, and refined teaching practices.

With support from WSU Vancouver and ESD 112, the collaboration will continue this fall through classroom visits, helping educators learn from one another and students grow as mathematical thinkers!

Prune Hill Elementary students brought their social studies lessons to life with a walking tour of downtown Camas! Stops included the Georgia-Pacific Mill, Periwinkle’s Toy Shop, Camas Fire Department, and Camas Public Library. After learning in the classroom about local government, community rules, and local history, students explored the places, people and services that make our community special.
