What an honor it was to be able to present a $35,000 check to the Black Dog Hill Shelter. This shelter holds a special spot in our hearts, as this is where the dream of Roxie's Hope started many years ago. 💜

A note below from our board chair, Rahya Geisler, as we received the Margaret Johnson-Barr award at the most recent Family Pathways Awareness & Empowerment Dinner.

“Years ago, when I worked with the Refuge Network (now Family Pathways), I had the privilege of working closely with Margaret Johnson-Barr and her family. Together, we shaped the vision for this award; an award meant to recognize dedication to survivors and to the healing of our communities, to stand here today, receiving the very award I helped create alongside someone I admired so deeply, is something I will always cherish."
