Exciting news!!

I’m honored to have the official endorsements of State Delegate Tom Hutchinson and State Senator Johnny Mautz.

If elected as your Sheriff, having strong working relationships with our representatives in Annapolis will be important when advocating for the resources, legislation, and support for our Sheriff’s Office. I’m grateful to Tom and Johnny for their confidence in me, and I look forward to the opportunity to work together and make Dorchester County safer and stronger for everyone.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks across Dorchester County, and I’ve enjoyed being out in our communities, meeting with friends and neighbors, and staying connected to the people I’m honored to serve.

A few highlights:

- Riverfest in Secretary
- Galestown Community Meeting
- DEMSAC Touch-A-Truck
- 11th Annual Recovery Works event in Cambridge
- Supporting the Eastern Shore Dance Academy Competition Team
- Hoopers Island Boat Docking

We’ve also been working hard to get NEW SIGNS out, distribute signs, make repairs, and keep the signs already in place looking their best. The support we’re seeing throughout Dorchester County has been tremendous, and I’m grateful for every conversation, every handshake, and every person who continues to stand with us.

The work continues, and so does my commitment to moving Dorchester County forward.

If you supported another candidate in the primary, I ask you to take a fresh look at our campaign and consider supporting me in November. And to everyone who supported me in the primary — thank you! I’ll be asking for your vote and once again.

Today, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001 — the 441 emergency personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice and the 2,536 civilians whose lives were taken that day. Their sacrifice and their memory will never be forgotten.

Acts of terrorism and violence have no place in the United States of America. I’m grateful for the brave men and women who continue to defend our freedoms and protect us every day.

We will NEVER forget. 🇺🇸

I am honored and humbled to announce that I have officially been endorsed by the Maryland State Fraternal Order of Police, representing approximately 21,000 law enforcement officers across our state.

Earning the confidence of an organization that represents the men and women of law enforcement is an honor I do not take lightly. This endorsement reflects a shared commitment to strong leadership, integrity, and public safety.

A very special thank you to the Cambridge-Dorchester FOP Lodge #27 for your continued support and hospitality.

Weekly Campaign Update

It was another busy week and weekend traveling throughout Dorchester County, talking with residents, farmers, watermen, and community members about the issues that matter to them and answering questions both in person and over the phone.

This week, I attended the Town of East New Market Emergency Preparedness Meeting, where I had productive conversations with residents from East New Market, Secretary, Hurlock, and surrounding communities.

I also enjoyed the Taylor’s Island Boat Docking, a true Dorchester County tradition, and attended the Battle of Vienna, where I had the opportunity to learn even more about the deep history and culture of our county and even got in a game of co****le with the Dorchester County Historical Society!

As we move closer to the General Election, I want to make one thing very clear: when you call 911 or need the assistance of the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, your political party does not matter.

Republican, Democrat, Independent, or none of the above every citizen of Dorchester County deserves the same high level of professional service, respect, and trust from their Sheriff’s Office.

If elected as your Sheriff, that is exactly the standard I intend to set. I will be a Sheriff for ALL of Dorchester County.

This photo was taken when I first started my career with the Cambridge Police Department. Looking back, I had no idea where that badge would take me or how much it would shape the person I would become.

Over the years, I was blessed to serve in many roles and eventually had the honor of becoming Chief of Police. Although becoming Chief of Police was one of the greatest honors of my career, my most meaningful assignment came when I was selected to serve in the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) as a detective investigating homicide cases.

There is nothing more important than seeking justice for victims and their families. Sitting beside families during the worst moments of their lives, fighting to hold violent offenders accountable, and doing everything possible to bring answers and a measure of closure is something I will never forget. Those experiences taught me compassion, perseverance, and the responsibility that comes with earning the public's trust.

Being Sheriff requires more than wearing a badge. It requires experience, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a relentless commitment to protecting our communities and conducting thorough investigations.

Those are the values I've carried throughout my career, and they're the same values I'll bring to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office.

I'm excited to continue this journey with all of you as we work toward November. Thank you for your continued support. Together, we'll move Dorchester County forward.
