This beloved, whimsical story follows Charlie Bucket (Bridget Villanueva), a sweet, humble, and optimistic young boy living in poverty who dreams of a better life. Guided by his loving mother, Mrs. Bucket (Adaleigh Doane), and his imaginative, young-at-heart story-telling Grandpa Joe (Remy Jansson), Charlie's world changes forever when he meets a mysterious candy store owner—who is actually the eccentric W***y Wonka (Isaiah Schuessler) in clever disguise. Encouraged by this incognito confectioner, Charlie finds a coveted Golden Ticket that grants him access to an exclusive tour of Wonka's legendary factory.

Inside the factory, Charlie and Grandpa Joe join four other wildly personality-driven ticket winners and their overindulgent parents. The tour includes the gluttonous, sausage-loving German boy Augustus Gloop (Morgan Staub) and his indulgent mother, Mrs. Gloop (Avery Paussa); the tremendously spoiled, bratty British heiress Veruca Salt (Alice Schilling), who demands everything immediately, alongside her wealth-obsessed father, Mr. Salt (Ethan Furze); the fiercely competitive, bubblegum-chewing pop star wannabe Violet Beauregarde (Dahlia Molina) with her image-conscious father, Mr. Beauregarde (Henry Misztal); and the aggressive, tech-obsessed gamer Mike Teavee (Kaia Freeman), who lives through screens, accompanied by his exasperated mother, Mrs. Teavee (Samantha Bowman). Together, this cast of distinct personalities navigates Wonka's mind-bending confections and moral tests.

This vibrant production highlights the incredible passion, discipline, and artistic talent of the entire Camillus Middle School company. The spectacular energy of the ensemble fills the stage with vibrant song and dance, bringing the whimsical world of Oompa Loompas and candy makers to life. Behind the scenes, a dedicated student stage crew works behind the curtain, seamlessly managing lighting, sound, scene changes, and props. From show-stopping musical numbers to imaginative set designs and colorful costumes, the entire cast and crew have poured countless hours into creating a truly magical theatrical experience suitable for community members of all ages.

The production is brought to life under the leadership of Musical Director/Producer- Don Schuessler, Choreographer - Heather Molina, Costumer/Properties Designer - Cindy Kissane, Set Designer - Jeffrey Bowe, and Production Assistants - Jenny Gettino and Colleen Condon.

It's School Bus Safety Week! 🚌
School bus safety starts with all of us. The West Genesee Transportation team reminds drivers to slow down, stay alert, and watch for children getting on and off the bus.

Always remember these important safety tips:
✔️ Stop when a school bus activates its flashing red lights and extends its stop sign.
✔️ Never pass a stopped school bus when its red lights are flashing.
✔️ Watch for children near bus stops, in school zones, and crossing the street.
✔️ Always follow posted speed limits and stay focused behind the wheel.

Every child deserves a safe ride to and from school. Let’s do our part to protect our youngest passengers and keep them safe!

The West Genesee Wildcat Marching Band took home an impressive 6th overall finish and first place in their class (AA), as well as best music and general effect for their class. The band traveled to Tennessee over the weekend to compete in the competition. West Genesee hasn't won their size division in 22 years! Nice work Wildcats!

Its National School Lunch Week!
Before your child ever sits down to eat, our cafeteria team has already planned the menu, prepped the food, and made sure it meets national nutrition standards; then they do it all again tomorrow.
This week, we’re giving them the spotlight they’ve earned all year.
Drop a 💛 if you’re grateful for the team feeding our students every day.
