Don't forget...this Saturday's Story Time will be our first ever Carve-A-Palooza! Pumpkins will be provided, so come on out and create a pumpkin to add to the Pumpkin Walk on October 23rd!

Can't make it? Bring in your own carved pumpkin between the 20th and the 23rd for us to add to the walk!

We're pumpkin crazy here at the library!!!! On top of our Story Book Pumpkin contest, we also plan to have a Carve-A-Palooza!

All carved pumpkins will be displayed along the Hanging Hollow Trail during the Trunk or Treat event on October 23rd. If you would like to carve your own pumpkin and bring it to be displayed, you may bring them from October 20th-23rd to the library.

It's almost time for Bonus Borrows! This selection of audiobooks, eBooks, comics and manga, TV shows, and movies is available to patrons without using your Instant borrows—and at no cost to libraries.

Available the last seven days of each month, Bonus Borrows are the perfect opportunity for patrons to explore new authors, genres, series, and formats. Even if you've used all your borrows, you can still enjoy great content on Hoopla.

October Bonus Borrows will be available from October 25-31. Spread the word!

🕷️🕸️ SOMEBODY CALL THE EXTERMINATOR! 😂

Things got a little SPOOKY during Storytime at the Wolfe County Public Library today! 🎃

Our Children's Librarian found herself in a bit of a HAIRY situation when our little library friends decided she needed a few extra creepy-crawly companions! 🕷️🤣

Apparently, being a Children's Librarian means being willing to go above and beyond for the kids… even if that means becoming a HUMAN SPIDER HOTEL! 😂🕸️

We aren't sure who had more fun—the kids covering her in spiders or everyone watching it happen!

Just another perfectly normal day at the Wolfe County Public Library! 📚❤️

📚 Celebrate Banned Books Week! 📚

🚫📖 Let Books Be. Protect the Freedom to Read.

This week, the Wolfe County Public Library joins libraries across the country in recognizing Banned Books Week, a celebration of the freedom to read, explore new ideas, and discover different perspectives.

Every year, books are challenged or removed from schools and libraries because of their content, characters, or the ideas they explore. Some of these books have become beloved classics, while others tell important stories that deserve to be heard.

📖 Did you know? Books like Looking for Alaska, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and A Clockwork Orange have all faced challenges.

At the Wolfe County Public Library, we believe libraries should provide opportunities for everyone to learn, explore, and make their own reading choices.
