Mammogram screenings are available to women 40 and older who have not been screened in the past year. Space is limited and appointments are recommended. To schedule an appointment, call (585) 922-PINK or visit https://shorturl.at/kkfLN

It is estimated that one in eight women will develop breast cancer during her
lifetime. Early detection saves lives. That’s why I have fought to expand insurance
coverage for screenings, improve access to mammograms for women with a
family history of breast cancer, and secure funding for early detection initiatives.

Too many young people wonder whether they can afford to buy a home and build their lives in New York. Too many seniors worry that rising costs will force them out of the homes and communities they love. Housing policy should help both generations stay.

ATTENTIONšŸ“¢ LivCo VeteransšŸ“¢ :
The Livingston County American Legion, in partnership with Livingston County Veteran Services, is holding its first ever Veteran Stand Down on Saturday, October 10th from 4:00-8:00pm. The Stand Down is completely free for Veterans and their families and no prior registration is necessary to attend.
ā€œThe event is getting a lot of attention, and I'm expecting a great turnout,ā€ said Livingston County Veteran Services Director David Terry. ā€œWe’re providing the space at Murray Hill, but the Livingston County American Legion is leading the way, coordinating over a dozen organizations and community resources for veterans across the region.ā€
The American Legion believes it, ā€œhas a responsibility to be part of the solution, connecting veterans with the people, programs, and support available to them.ā€
ā€œU.S. Veterans Affairs is bringing a truck with free military-surplus supplies,ā€ said Terry. ā€œOther counties heard we’re having a stand-down and have been incredibly supportive, donating surplus from their events with a, ā€˜keep it going!ā€™ā€
The Stand Down will also feature relevant informational breakout sessions and Q&As where fellow veterans can interact in a relaxed environment while learning what is available to them.

The event will be held:

There’s a lot of noise out there. I’m focused on what matters.

I’m working here at home and at the state capitol to lower costs and make life more affordable for our farmers, families and communities.

When local and state officials communicate directly, we can identify problems sooner and work together on practical solutions. That's the goal of my annual Municipal Clerks Roundtable, which brings together clerks from across the 54th District.

At this year's event, held at Victor Town Hall, we heard from the DEC about hunting licensing concerns, discussed my bill to boost the tax credit for volunteer firefighters and EMS, and shared my new 2026–27 Municipal Guidebook to help communities find grants and resources.

Municipal clerks truly are the heart of local government. They know their communities, they help residents navigate important services, and they keep local government working every day. I'm grateful to all the clerks who attended and shared their insights.

Wayne County families now have quality primary care closer to home with URMC Finger Lake Health's new Lyons Family Health Center at 12 Leach Road.

Access to care shouldn't depend on your zip code, and this center is a real step toward healthier rural communities. Congratulations to Dr. Brandon Towey, Dr. AnnMarie Hansen, and their entire team!

I submitted comments to the Public Service Commission on New York’s Clean Energy Standard because New Yorkers deserve straight answers about cost, reliability, and the impact these policies will have on our farms, water resources, and local communities.

Now it’s your turn to make your voice heard.

If you’re concerned about rising utility bills, whether our electric grid can keep up with growing demand, or how energy projects affect your community, I encourage you to submit your comments to the Public Service Commission.
These decisions will affect all of us.

The people making them need to hear from you directly. Click this link to submit your comments: https://documents.dps.ny.gov/public/MatterManagement/CaseMaster.aspx?MatterCaseNo=15-E-0302&submit=Search+by+Case+Number
