Community Action Partnership for Madison County CAP for Madison County uses Facebook to provide agency updates and resources and welcomes your comments, questions, and ideas.

Community Action Partnership (CAP) for Madison County is a non-profit organization that addresses the challenges of today while building hope for the future through a variety of programs and services. With that said we do expect individuals to maintain an acceptable degree of civility. We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, we cannot monitor, post or respond to comments 24/7. Have you ever considered how you would give back to your community? One way is to become an adult mentor for youth. Madison County youth, ages 8-17, are waiting for a trusting, caring, supportive and optimistic adult to spend some free time, explore new areas, learn skills and navigate life with. It's a small gift of time with a BIG impact for each individual.

If this sounds like something you would like to explore, please come to our Volunteer Training Night. This is an evening for current volunteers to train, talk about their successes and challenges, as well as learn from each other, and we would like YOU to join us! Dinner is provided. Adults 18 years and older only. RSVP to Erin Dutcher at 315-750-2463 by 10/27.

New and expecting parents don’t have to navigate breastfeeding alone. Did you know that Community Action Partnership’s Healthy Families Program offers a comfortable place to get lactation support, check baby’s weight, talk with other parents, and connect with community resources at the Hamilton Library?

Living in a generational household has its ups and downs. Sometimes siblings, mom or dad, or even grandparents, being in the house can feel like a lot. And sometimes, even with all those people and their love, it can feel like you're alone.

Samantha has struggled with anxiety and relationships but wants an opportunity to get out of the house, meet new people and know a greater world of supports. Could you be her Mentor?

Our team had a great time at the New York State Community Action Association Annual Conference in Niagara Falls, connecting with community action professionals from all over NY state and being reminded why we do what we do.

Congratulations to Taylor who graduated from the Emerging Leaders 1.0 program! A lot of hard work and dedication went into this- we are proud of you, Taylor!

While working hard, you have to take some time to have a little fun. The team enjoyed NYSCAA's interactive app, so much that Kaleigh, Taylor, and Kaleb were the top 3 participants! And meanwhile, William may have taken a pie to the face...?
