A first for Candia Fire since establishing our ambulance service!

A mother-to-be was on her way to the hospital this morning when Baby Girl just didn’t want to wait that long. Ambulance 1’s crew was dispatched to Deerfield Rd & Main St at 0312 and they updated dispatch that a delivery occurred at 0326!

A fairly uncommon occurrence for most EMS providers, it is a celebrated moment as a new life is brought into the World!

There will be a dignified transfer of Raymond Firefighter Eric Phillips (line of duty death) coming out of the Concord at approximately 4:30pm today.

We invite ALL community members to join us on the overpasses of Route 101 (Chester Turnpike, Patten Hill, Depot) to honor FF Philips as he returns home.

Fire Department vehicles will be parked on the overpass, if you wish to join, we ask that you do not park on the overpass to allow fire and police vehicles to position.

FF Philips died on Friday evening while operating an emergency call.

Please join us in honoring him, his family, and our mutual aid partner, Raymond Fire.

You can add hawk rescue to the job description!

FF Evan Webster and his wife McKenna were heading home and found this injured adolescent hawk on Currier Road. Without hesitation they called Wings Rehab and brought the raptor to Henniker for rehabbing! Thanks, Websters!
