Cannon School Liaison Program As the School Liaison, one of my responsibilities is to assist you with any school related question

Please review the student schedule for students in grades 9-12 for Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026:

• 9th and 10th grades: Students will take the PSAT on campus during the morning and attend their regular afternoon classes after testing. Students must bring a fully charged Chromebook.

• 11th and 12th grades: Students will learn remotely from home. They must check Google Classroom, complete all assigned coursework and log in to Google Meet for their 5th, 6th and 7th period classes for required live instruction and attendance.

For questions or attendance support, contact the CHS office or your grade-level adviser before Oct. 21.

Calendar Reminder: Students will be on fall break Oct. 9–12, 2026. There will be no school for students during this time.

Friday, Oct. 9, is a staff data day and parent-teacher conference day.

District offices will be closed Monday, Oct. 12.

Parent-teacher conferences originally scheduled for Sept. 25 have been rescheduled for Friday, Oct. 9, 2026.

Dear CMS Families, Staff, Students, and Community,

The National Weather Service has updated its forecast and is predicting 5 to 8 inches of rainfall between 5:00 PM today and 3:00 AM tomorrow. With significant precipitation already received last week, several water retention areas throughout the city and county are currently at or nearing capacity. Given the potential for flooding and hazardous roadway conditions, Clovis Municipal Schools will transition to virtual/remote instruction tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, 2026. This decision is being made out of an abundance of caution to keep our students, families, staff, and school buses off potentially unsafe roadways. Students and staff should not report to school buildings tomorrow and will instead participate in classes virtually. Additional information regarding virtual instruction will be communicated by schools as necessary.

Dear CMS Families, Staff, Students, and Community,

Given the potential for flooding on various roadways, CMS is canceling all evening activities and practices across the district for today, Tuesday, September 29, 2026. As more information is received, we will continue to provide updates to the community as promptly as possible. Thank you.

Community pep rally kicks off at 7 p.m. with special speakers and the Greyhound Sound Marching Band.
