Information on EARLY VOTING, October 19 - November 1, 2026

The next election in Canton to qualify for Early Voting is the Gubernatorial Election. The Gubernatorial Election will take place on November 3, 2026. Early voting for the Gubernatorial Election will be held for fourteen days, October 19th through November 1st. The early voting polling place will be at the Canton Community Center, 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton, CT. The early voting polling place will be open for voting each of the early voting days (10/19/26-10/26/26, 10/28/26, 10/30-11/1/26) from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and (10/27/26 and 10/29/26) from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

To vote early, the voter will either need to be a registered voter in Canton or complete Same Day Voter Registration. Voting will be in person at the polling place and voters must check in and present identification. Once checked in, the voter will receive the appropriate ballot and sign an affirmation of identity and eligibility to vote. After marking the ballot, the voter will put the ballot into the ballot tabulator. Same Day Registration is also available on Election Day.

Each day's ballots will be securely stored in the Town Hall vault. In person, "day of", Gubernatorial Election voting will be on November 3, 2026, at the Canton High School from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm
