At the October 6, 2026 meeting of the Stark County Regional Planning Commission (RPC), conditional approval was given to Clearwater Park Swimming Pool for 3 swimming pools, water playground, and pool deck on the southeast corner of Edison/SR 619 and Hoover in Lake Township. General contractor, Blaine Miller, stated, “The park was built in 1947, and the pool has been a problem for a long time with leaking, old equipment and so forth. We are filling that in and constructing two smaller swim pools, 2,000 square-foot each, and then there is a small splash pool that will be put at the end of the slide as a landing pool. The remaining area will have a large play center that is about 100 feet long. It includes three or four tip buckets and 11 slides with run outs with a flat deck. The park has needed an upgrade for a long time, and the owner is putting a lot of money and effort into making it a lot better and more fun for its Jellystone clients.”
