Don't miss our Nature Knowledge event tomorrow morning at Indian Creek Nature Center!

New ICNC President Joe Longshore will be leading a walk and talk on four helpful and four harmful plants that can be found at the center. Do you know which plants to pick and which to avoid? You'll have to come at 10:00am to find out!

This is the second in a series of four events focused on learning tips and tricks for avoiding harmful plants, animals, bugs, and learning basic navigation and survival skills. Visit Nature Up North's event in two weeks or test your skills at Cornell Cooperative Extension's orienteering course on August 8th!

Please join us on Saturday, April 25, 2026, for the Indian Creek Nature Center Annual Dinner & Program!

The dinner will be held on Saturday, April 25 at Sergi’s Italian Restaurant in Potsdam, NY. Reception begins at 5:30pm with a cash bar. Buffet-style dinner will start at 6:00 including antipasto salads, vegetable and meat dishes, as well as sides and dessert. This year, we welcome Dr. Ben Roulston, an astrophysicist and director of Clarkson's Reynolds Observatory. He will speak on the North Country Night Sky. The cost is $35 dollars/person, including gratuity. Payment online can be made with PayPal or credit card, or you can pay when you arrive at the dinner. Only payments by cash or check made out to Indian Creek Nature Center can be accepted at the dinner location.

One week from tomorrow, join Indian Creek Nature Center Co-President Tom Van de Water for a walk on Tracking Wildlife in Winter!

A Canton Winterfest Event! Meet at the Indian Creek main entrance for a couple hours slow walk or snowshoe to look for evidence of winter wildlife. Snowshoes will be provided or bring your own! Rain or shine! No need to sign up, just show up!
