Tonight, GlenOak coaches and district leaders came together for our second GlenOak Athletics visioning meeting to discuss the future of our athletic programs and explore how athletics fits into the district’s long-term facility planning.

From youth sports to high school athletics, the goal is stronger connections and a shared vision for the future. Go Eagles!

It's School Bus Safety Week 💚🚌

You may notice Stark County Sheriff's Office cruisers following our school buses this week. No need for concern! Our deputies are helping keep bus routes safe by making sure drivers follow traffic laws.

Thank you to the Stark County Sheriff's Office for partnering with Plain Local Schools to help keep our Eagles safe on their way to and from school!

Birds of a feather learn together at Frazer!

Naturalists from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources stopped by for some hands-on fun with our Little Eagles! From learning about bird beaks and trying out binoculars to making bird feeders, puppets and snacks for their feathered friends, these students had plenty to chirp about!

Thanks to ODNR for making learning about nature so much fun!

We're feeling a little BLUE thinking back to last year's Boo at the School! Our elementary principals understood the assignment...

Now it's time to see what costumes everyone has planned for THIS year!

Join GlenOak High School's National Honor Society for Boo at the School on Thursday, October 29, from 5–7 p.m. at GlenOak High School!

This FREE family event includes trick-or-treating, games, crafts, a costume show, and more! Just bring your costume and a bag for all your goodies! GlenOak Volleyball will be working concessions for the evening, so you can even grab dinner at the event. Cash and cards accepted!

The most important parts of a school are not always visible from the classroom.

Behind the scenes at Frazer Elementary, boilers, pipes, electrical equipment, technology infrastructure and other building systems work together to support students each day. District staff continue to maintain and adapt these systems, but repairing one component does not address the condition or efficiency of the building as a whole.

Across Plain Local’s facilities, essential repairs totaled approximately $1.92 million during fiscal years 2024 through 2026. The current Facility Plan proposes replacing seven aging buildings with three new elementary schools. Under the plan, the locally funded first phase would make Plain Local eligible for an estimated $84 million in state funding toward the second phase, while consolidation is projected to save more than $45 million in operating costs over 10 years.
