Last Thursday we had the honor of recognizing two outstanding students as Rotary Club Students of the Month for October: Makinlee Etheridge and George Deen.

Both of these students model everything we want to see in our students. They are both driven, dedicated and hard working leaders on our campus who are always willing to go the extra mile to help their peers and teachers. They always have a positive attitude and are top tier students.

Congratulations Makinlee and George!

Last week’s Eagle’s Football Staff Shout Out was proudly presented by Jace Burks, Nick Lopez, and Hudson Ward. All three of these young men are defined by their outgoing personalities, polite manners, and a generous spirit that elevates everyone around them on and off the field!

These student-athletes chose to honor Mrs. Emily for this week's award. When asked why, they shared that she works hard every day, always approaches her duties in an unselfish manner, and they appreciate her dealing with their messy nature! The Field House would fall apart without her help. Thank you, Mrs. Emily, for everything you do for Canton Junior High School.

Go Eagles!

I know that we are in October, but I wanted to recognize two students who were named as the Rotary Club Students of the Month for September: Emmie DeSilva and Cale Clayton.

Both of these students exemplify everything we look for in our students. They are hard working, kind, and goal oriented leaders on our campus who go above and beyond to help others and the school. Their teachers said they are always respectful, always have a smile on their face, willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needs it, and are overall exceptional students.

Congratulations to Emmie and Cale for this well deserved honor!

At CJH, mums and garters may be worn at school on the CJH homecoming pep-rally day (Thursday). Due to the distraction involved, bells or noise makers found on homecoming mums and garters must be taped. The exchange of mums, garters, etc. must happen outside of school hours. Remember, students must be in dress code.
