Cheyenne is going to give her youth and all others the opportunity to learn all they can about 4-H! After noticing a young group of students in the bleachers in the livestock arena, she invited them to the poultry barn and voluntold her 4-Her, Kaitlyn Rottman to teach the young students and their leaders about the poultry chain project in 4-H and show off her award winning chickens, geese, and ducks! Kaitlyn’s 4-H resume is growing all the time! Mississippi 4-H Mississippi State University Extension Service

Cheyenne helped coordinate an interstate 4-H Shooting Sports training, bringing together two Level 3 Slingshot Instructors from Mississippi, a 4-H Extension Agent from Texas, and a Texas 4-H Shooting Sports volunteer coach!

Through this collaboration, our Texas neighbors will gain the knowledge and skills needed to introduce slingshot shooting sports to their own 4-H youth, creating new opportunities for hands-on learning, skill development, and friendly competition.

🍀 Did you know? Mississippi was the first state to develop a 4-H slingshot training program and offer slingshot competitions!

It’s exciting to see a program that started right here in Mississippi expanding beyond our state lines. This is what 4-H is all about—sharing knowledge, building partnerships, and creating opportunities for young people to Learn by Doing!

💚 Making the Best Better—one state at a time!
