Canyon Lake Fire Department

Throughout November, your Canyon Lake Firefighters are proudly wearing their camouflage uniform hats as a symbol of honor, remembrance, and support.
The camouflage design pays tribute to the brave men and women of our United States Armed Forces, both past and present, who have selflessly served our country. The lavender lettering represents awareness of all forms of cancer and serves as a reminder of the strength, courage, and resilience of those affected by this disease.
These hats carry a special meaning, reflecting our Department’s commitment to honoring our military veterans and active-duty service members while standing in solidarity with individuals and families impacted by cancer.
As we recognize Veterans Day this November, we are reminded of the sacrifices made by those who have served and the courage demonstrated by those facing the battle against cancer.
Two meaningful causes. One shared message of courage, strength, and unwavering support.
From all of us at the Canyon Lake Fire Department, we thank our military service members and veterans for their service and stand alongside everyone affected by cancer.

As Daylight Saving Time comes to an end today, the Canyon Lake Fire Department would like to remind everyone to not only move your clocks back one hour but also to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Also, this is a good time to check your emergency supplies and your "go bags" and ensure that all items are not expired and your emergency water is safe for drinking. Happy November 1st!

Halloween Safety Tips from Canyon Lake Fire Department!

As families prepare for an evening of costumes, candy, and trick-or-treating, the Canyon Lake Fire Department would like to remind residents to celebrate safely.
With children walking through our neighborhoods, increased golf cart traffic, and additional visitors throughout the community, a few simple precautions can help keep everyone safe this Halloween.

WATCH FOR TRICK-OR-TREATERS
Slow down and use extra caution when driving through Canyon Lake neighborhoods. Children may cross streets unexpectedly, especially after dark. Stay alert, avoid distractions, and always yield to pedestrians.

PRACTICE GOLF CART SAFETY
Golf carts are a popular way to get around Canyon Lake, especially during Halloween festivities. Drive slowly, use headlights and taillights after dark, and watch carefully for pedestrians. Make sure all passengers remain seated in designated seating areas and never allow children to operate golf carts unless legally permitted.

KEEP STREETS CLEAR
Emergency vehicles need room to respond quickly and safely. Avoid parking in red zones or blocking fire hydrants, intersections, driveways, and narrow roadways. Keeping streets accessible helps firefighters and emergency personnel reach those who need assistance.

BE SEEN AFTER DARK
Carry flashlights or glow sticks and add reflective tape or accessories to costumes and candy bags. Choose well-fitting costumes to prevent trips and falls. Children should stay with a responsible adult or trusted group.

The Canyon Lake Fire Department wishes everyone a safe, fun, and Happy Halloween!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Throughout October, Canyon Lake Firefighters will proudly wear specially designed uniform shirts in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This year’s shirt features our traditional navy-blue base with pink accents and Canyon Lake Fire Department lettering—a simple but meaningful way for our firefighters to show their support for those impacted by breast cancer.

For our department, wearing pink is more than a change to our uniform. It is a way to help raise awareness, encourage early detection, and stand in solidarity with those currently fighting breast cancer, those who have overcome it, and the families and loved ones who support them along the way.

Breast cancer affects countless individuals and families in our communities, and throughout the month, we are proud to join fire departments and organizations across the country in helping bring attention to the importance of awareness and early detection.

To those fighting, those who have fought, and those we remember—we wear pink for you.
