Attention, 5th grade parents! Moving from elementary to middle school is one of the biggest milestones in your child’s educational journey. It’s natural for both students and parents to feel a mix of excitement and anxiety about bigger campuses, new routines, and older students. That’s why the School District of Lee County designed The 6th Grade Advantage—a district-wide "school-within-a-school" model built specifically for 11- and 12-year-olds.

🌎 Mrs. Alin’s 3rd grade class had a wonderful time celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! ❤️💛💙💚

Our students had the opportunity to learn about and celebrate their diverse Hispanic heritage through a special Heritage Doll Project. Students dressed their dolls to represent their country or culture and shared what makes their heritage special.

Some families went above and beyond by sending in traditional foods, treats, and drinks from their countries for our class to enjoy. The students were so excited to taste and experience flavors from different cultures!

So far, we have enjoyed Cuban pastries and chocolates, Colombian chocolates, and sodas from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. 🇨🇺🇨🇴🇵🇷🇩🇴

¡Viva la diversidad! 🌎❤️
