Thank you to everyone who helped with this project. It was very much needed to help with the flow of traffic in the school zone.

A very special thank you to the Capon Bridge American Legion Post 137 Riders who donated $1,000 and their time to make this happen. The Riders hosted a motorcycle ride "Hometown Heroes" to benefit both the Police and Fire Departments in Capon Bridge. The PD was able to purchase a brand new handgun, holster and am******on.

Also, thank you Melissa Kidwell from Just Pawn It for her amazing pricing which allowed us to receive everything we needed within our budget.

After a few days full of sad news for this county, there is a bit of positive news. We are truly blessed to have the men and women of the Capon Bridge Volunteer Fire Department. They give back so much to this community.

On behalf of the entire town of Capon Bridge, thank Cpl. J.D. Smith for your dedication to the Capon Bridge Police Department over the past six years. You will truly be missed and we wish you nothing but success. He even got to feel like a real hero today on a crash investigation. 😁

The town of Capon Bridge is historic and well known for our iconic green bridge. Our police department patch should reflect the same. When we order our next set of patches, they will be in this new design. Too many people had to squint to read our current patch and guess what agency we are.
