Jaywalker Lodge Jaywalker offers an addiction treatment continuum with a committed focus on 12-step philosophy and community integration.

Jaywalker Lodge is a premier men’s residential addiction treatment community in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley, providing individualized, evidence-based care for substance use and co-occurring disorders rooted in connection, accountability, and purpose. In addition, we are a multidisciplinary team consisting of MDs, Master’s-level clinicians, addiction specialists, and mental health and trauma experts capable of treating complex clients that present with a myriad of mental health, psychiatric and trauma disorders. Our program is multimodal, clinically sophisticated and achieves a high rate of success within an Open Community Model where clients remove blocks to long-term recovery, create authentic relationships, and discover serious joy.

Sometimes loving someone means knowing when to say enough.

Setting a boundary with someone struggling with addiction can be incredibly hard, especially when you’ve spent so long trying to help. But sometimes, that moment becomes a turning point.

It can be the moment they finally realize something has to change.

For a lot of guys, recovery means getting to do things they never got to experience before.

Like skiing. Being outside. Having fun. Just getting to live a normal life.

That’s what recovery can give you. A life worth living.

We always greatly appreciate when treatment professionals make the journey to Carbondale, CO to visit our home. Jaywalker is nestled into the Rocky Mountains on purpose- to create a unique, active, and most importantly life changing experience for our men.

Special thanks to Kaela Demerjian

Getting sober is only part of the work.

For many people, recovery means looking at the hurt left behind and having the courage to face your family, own what happened, and start making things right.

Making amends can be hard. But it can also be where healing begins.

He’d been to treatment before. He’d tried. He didn’t think Jaywalker would be any different.

Then it worked.

Sometimes you just have to find the right place, the right people, and a reason to keep going.

Why Carbondale? Of all of the places in the country to go to treatment, Carbondale offers something special. A small mountain town tucked away in the Roaring Fork Valley, Carbondale offers an incredibly tight knit community of sobriety and activity. With world-class hiking, biking, fishing, climbing, and skiing right in our back yard, Carbondale provides newly sober men (and women) a literal playground of sober, healthy activities to lose yourself in and re-establish joy in a life without substances.

With hundreds of Jaywalker alumni living sober in the valley, there is a built-in community of like minded people that are all on the same path, with shared interests and struggles. Our community and location are some of our greatest strengths, and we hope to welcome you to the family!

You didn’t cause his addiction. You can’t control it. And you can’t recover for him.

Loving someone with an addiction can make you feel responsible for fixing things, protecting them, or finding the right words to make them change.

But his recovery has to be his.

You can love him. You can support him. You can set boundaries. And you can take care of yourself.

Tonight, our community gathers for a cause that means so much to all of us. ❤️

Many of you have traveled from near and far to be here, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Year after year, your support helps make the A Way Out Charity Dinner and Serenity Scramble such a special weekend—all while supporting the incredible work of our local nonprofit partner, A Way Out.

A special shoutout to our friend Zac Clark, founder of Release Recovery and the Release Recovery Foundation, for joining us this evening as our guest speaker. We’re grateful to have Zac here to share his experience, his message, and his heart for recovery with our community.

This weekend is about more than golf. It’s about friendship, fellowship, recovery, community, and coming together to support something bigger than ourselves.

We look forward to another meaningful evening together.

See you tonight at 6:30 PM!

There’s something about getting out of the lodge and into the mountains that creates a different kind of recovery experience.

Our September Buena Vista Camping Expedition brought clients and staff together for a few days of camping, climbing, hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, golf, a 14er, hot springs, fireside conversations, and a whole lot of pizza.

But the activities are only part of it.

These expeditions are built around getting uncomfortable, trying something new, connecting with peers, and learning more about yourself along the way. From setting intentions in the morning to reflecting together at the end of the day, recovery doesn’t stop when we leave the lodge.

Sometimes it looks like standing on top of a mountain. Sometimes it looks like making dinner together around a campfire. And sometimes it’s simply sitting with your peers, having an honest conversation, and being willing to hear something you might not want to hear.

That’s the Jaywalker experience. Get outside. Get uncomfortable. Get connected. Keep moving forward.
