Today, members of the Cardington Fire Department had the opportunity to spend some time with the Cardington-Lincoln Local Schools 1st and 2nd grade students, showing off some of our equipment and giving them a chance to get some hands-on experience!

The students got to see our gear up close, learn about the tools we use, participate in hands-on demonstrations, and even sit down and enjoy lunch with us. We always enjoy getting the opportunity to interact with our community’s youngest members and hopefully help them learn a little more about fire safety and what we do.

We had a blast and are already looking forward to next year!

Today we had the pleasure of hosting our Cardington-Lincoln Local Schools Kindergarten friends for a fun and educational visit in honor of Fire Safety Week!

The students got to climb through a fire truck, spray a real fire hose and tour an ambulance with our friends from Morrow County EMS.

It’s always a pleasure having these young firefighters-in-training visit us, and we look forward to this tradition every year!
