Members of our leadership team had the opportunity to present at the Keystone Emergency Management Association (KEMA) Conference on Sunday. We were grateful for the opportunity to learn from other Pennsylvania emergency management stakeholders and VOADs (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) in order to continually improve our own leadership practices.

Never Forget.

Twenty-five years later, the National Weather Service joins the nation in remembering the 2,977 lives taken on September 11, 2001, and the families still carrying that day.

We honor the victims. We honor the first responders who ran toward danger. We honor the courage shown in New York, at the Pentagon, and in the skies over Pennsylvania.

To those who serve, protect, and keep watch every day: we stand with you.

Never walk, swim, or drive into standing water. Turn around, don't drown. ⚠️

Remember that flooding can be impossible to see at night. Use extra caution if you must travel in the dark. 👀
