When a new little one joins a CFD family, our people show up.

The Fire Family Support Network has been assembling welcome baskets and coordinating meal trains for our newest CFD babies, filling both with care from right here in Carlsbad.

A special thank you to the local businesses who keep showing up for our families:

🛁 Tubby Todd — generously donating clean, gentle bath products
🕯️ AURA Candles — local Carlsbad candles that make every basket feel like home
🧢 LOCAL✖️BEACH ® — bags, hats, and that coastal Carlsbad energy
🪵 Hazel Grey — handmade baby sleeping signs that families actually keep

Plus books from an Orange County fire family that always find their way into the baskets.

This is what Local 3730 looks like off the apparatus: the Fire Family Support Network packing baskets, organizing meals, local shops donating product, and the union helping make sure every new arrival feels welcomed into the fire family.

If you see these shops around town, give them some love.

They take care of ours.

Carlsbad Firefighters will never forget the brave first responders who ran toward those who needed help.

This profession is noble. You never know when you will be called to answer the bell — and on that morning, they answered.

Today we honor the 2,753 lost at the Twin Towers, the 184 at the Pentagon, the 40 in Pennsylvania, the 343 of the FDNY, and all those still suffering from 9/11-related cancer, lung disease, and the illnesses that followed.

We will never forget.

Great night at Petco for a night!

Nothing beats getting out of the station and just being present with the people who have your back on and off duty. Watching the San Diego Padres with family, friends, and the Local 3730 crew is a reminder of why this job (and this group) is special. The camaraderie doesn’t clock out when the shift does.

Grateful for nights like this - good laughs, great people, and positive energy!

Back 2 School Bash 2026

Your Carlsbad Firefighters loved getting out into the community this week and partnering with our friends at the Carlsbad Police Department to hand out 80+ backpacks packed with school supplies!

Families also stopped by our booth to color fire safety bookmarks and grab some fun sensory goodies — stress balls (the clear favorite), keychains, stickers, coozies, wristbands, and twistable pencils.

A big thank you to the community for the continued trust and support. We love being a part of Carlsbad.

Local businesses looking to partner with us on future community events — visit carlsbadfirefighters.net and fill out the inquiry form. We’d love to work with you!

Have an awesome school year, Carlsbad!

If you know Tish and Andy, you know they’re the kind of people who are always there for everyone else — quick with a smile, a helping hand, and that genuine warmth that makes you feel seen.

Right now, life has thrown them a tough one. Their home in Hawaii took a hard hit from the recent flooding, and while they focus on getting through this challenging time, we want to lift one weight off their shoulders: meals. No one should have to worry about cooking when they’re rebuilding.

We’ve also set up a fund to help with whatever comes next on their road to recovery.

Andy’s years in public safety taught him how to run toward the hardest moments for others. Tish brings that same beautiful spirit of care and joy into every day. Now it’s our turn to wrap them — and their sweet pup — in that same love and support.

Tish and Andy, we’ve got you. We love you both so much. 💙🐾

Want to help? Drop a ❤️ or comment “MEALS” below and I’ll send you the Meal Train link and fund details.
