This call for service came with four paws. 🐾

Recently, a community member called us after finding a dog tied up next to a sign that read “free.”

Officers responded and stayed with the pup, keeping him safe and giving him some company until the Humane Society arrived to take over.

Our calls for service can look a little different from day to day, but making sure everyone is safe, including our four-legged community members, is always important.

🌧️ The rain is here!

It’s been a while since we’ve had wet roads, and our biggest reminder for drivers is simple: SLOW DOWN.

Wet roads can be slick, visibility can be reduced and it takes longer to stop. Give yourself extra time to get where you’re going safely.

🚗 Adjust your speed for wet road conditions
↔️ Leave extra space between you and the vehicle ahead
💡 Turn on your headlights for better visibility
📵 Put the phone down and stay focused on the road
🌊 Never drive through flooded roadways

🌧️ Find more rain preparedness tips, including sandbag information, at the link in our stories.

Please drive carefully, Carlsbad. A few extra minutes getting there safely are worth it.

Our field supervisors don’t just supervise the squad. They’re out there proactively stopping crime, too.

During a traffic stop for expired and suspended registration, Sergeant Ramirez located three bags containing nearly 94 grams of methamphetamine.

Nice work, Sarge, keeping drugs off our streets!
