This is going to be a spooktacular time. come join us!!

We're gearing up for Trunk or Treat!

This year's is going to be a little different. For starters, we are going to host the event at the Rec Field! This was prompted by our Carmel Days event, as we had to postpone some parts of the festivities. So, we are going to have the DJ Dance Party and Fireworks during Trunk or Treat.

To make it even better, we are going to have yummy food options to keep you warm, and full of energy, to help with the candy collecting.

The event will run from 5p-7p, Friday October 30th. Fireworks will be launched at the Rec Field at 7p. Parking will be along Five Rd (on the same side of the road as the Rec Field), and Trick or Treaters will walk up to the Rec Field road entrance.

Trunks will be placed mostly in the grassy parking lot that we use for Carmel Days, while some larger trunks will be placed in the parking lots by the playground.

Handicap parking will be available on the grassy area on the left as you enter the Rec Field road. (If you are not a Trunk or Handicapped, you will not be permitted onto the Rec Field road. Regular parking will be on Five Rd).

Come join us, Friday October 30th (rain date, October 31st) from 5p-7p for a family fun-filled event!

How did you spend your Cinco de Mayo and International Firefighters Day?!

The Junior Firefighters of Carmel continued to build on their foundation of knowledge pertaining to self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) use and confidence. With the assistance of Maine Fire Service Institutes SCBA Air Management Trailer, the Juniors were able to navigate through simulated obstacles and confined spaces with little to no visibility.

Our Junior Firefighters train weekly on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm and they frequently accompany the adults on Tuesday nights.

The Carmel Fire Department’s Junior Program offers a unique opportunity to learn valuable life-saving skills whilst building lifelong friendships.

For more information, please reach out to us via Facebook or call the Fire Station at 207-848-5051 and ask for William Crowley.

We would also like to thank Kim and Jeff Davis for providing the meals this week for our Juniors!
