Sunday was an amazing Veterans for Lawler rally. The best way to see what someone might do in the future is to look at their past. From day one, Lawler has advocated for and supported our veterans.

A theme emerged from everyone who spoke: Thank God for our veterans and everyone defending this great country. We are here, able to do this, because of 250 years of friends, neighbors, and family answering their country’s call.

A huge shout-out to Robert Kearns, a veteran and Carmel’s next Supervisor, for putting this together.

Get out and vote for the leaders who understand the importance of serving one’s country and supporting the people who did: Mike Lawler, Matt Slater, Kevin Byrne, Esposito4NY, Tanner McCracken, Michael Nesheiwat, John Bourges, and Bruce Blakeman for Governor - Make New York Affordable

Last weekend was the Columbus Day Parade and Mahopac Street Fair, which was, as always, a huge success. When I was a kid, my family would come up to Mahopac for the parade, and it was always such an eye-opening experience about community, heritage, and culture. I'm grateful that the American Club of Mahopac , Linda and Giulio Cefaloni, and everyone who helped make it a success.

The Carmel GOP tabled at the Street Fair, handing out hundreds of American Flags, registering dozens of people to vote, and supported all of our candidates. Thank you to the The Greater Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a great event every year, to all the candidates who visited, and to all the Republican Volunteers who helped out.

The Republican Party is the party of law and order. We apply that to ourselves.

Thursday night the Putnam County Republican Committee removed Jacob D’Angelo and Daniel Dudek for disloyalty. The vote was 137 to 22. They had notice. They did not come to the meeting.

After the last cycle, Jake came to the Carmel committee as a sitting member and as our nominee. Some people were still fighting the primary after it was over. He said committee members should not work against a duly nominated Republican. He was right.

We spent months writing that into standing rules. In October we adopted them. The point was simple: if you sit on this committee, you do not wear the title while working against the committee’s nominee.

He was the first to break them.

First, he circulated petitions for an unendorsed candidate against the Republican this Party had already endorsed. He has since said it was “only” five signatures, and they were family, as if that makes it fine. It does not. The rule is not a head-count. Working against the Party’s nominee is the violation. Doing it with family names does not make it smaller. It makes the next part obvious.

He then tried to rebuild the committee around himself. He walked petitions to replace twenty-five sitting Carmel members with family and friends, packed into the districts in his own legislative seat. If that slate had been seated, the next endorsement would not have been earned. It would have been voted by the people he put on the paper.

That is not recruitment. That is how an elected official strangles the Party’s check on his own office. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Packing the committee is how you get there.

When it was clear he would be held to the rule he had asked for, he took it public. Facebook. Newspapers. Radio. Then a lawsuit and a restraining order that froze this process for months. He talked about us the whole time. The court dismissed the case.

The committee stopped it. The County Committee then voted 137 to 22 to remove them. This is the record.

If you will not follow the simple rules of the committee you sit on, rules adopted to stop the exact conduct you complained about, you do not get to ask this Party to put its name next to yours or to spend its time and money electing you.

We will hold committee members and elected officials to the same standard. Loyalty is not a personality test and it is not a back-room favor. It is whether you keep the commitment you made when you took the seat.

Putnam Republicans follow the rules. When the rules need to change, we change them in the open. We do not make exceptions for the people who find them inconvenient.

There's only one real choice. Even removing party from this entirely, Tanner McCracken has worked to connect with, hear the concern of, and gain the support of the people of Carmel magnitudes harder than any other candidate. His dedication to hearing all sides of issues make him a no brainer for all concerned citizens in our great town. Make sure your voice is counted this November.

THE GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT IS SET.

The mission remains the same: bring fresh leadership to the county, deliver a new era of transparency, and make Mahopac more affordable.

I have a proven record of results from my six years on the Mahopac School Board. I’m running for Putnam County Legislator to be a strong voice for our community and fight for taxpayers every single day🇺🇸

It would be an honor to earn your vote on November 3 🗳️

Fellow citizens of the Republic,

On this glorious 250th anniversary of the founding of our nation, the Carmel Republican Committee wishes everyone a happy, healthy, and safe Independence Day.

The great American experiment was not born because its creators were geniuses with perfect foresight, nor because they built a system that would run itself. It was forged by ordinary Americans: statesmen and farmers, lawyers and tradesmen, entrepreneurs and doers, thinkers and patriots. When Benjamin Franklin stepped out of the Constitutional Convention and was asked what kind of government had been created, he answered: “A republic, if you can keep it.”

That challenge was not just for his time. It was spoken to every generation, including ours. It is our duty as citizens to keep this experiment alive by continuously improving ourselves, adapting to the realities around us, seeking to understand one another, celebrating the unique contributions of every individual, and remaining open to ideas that strengthen our Union.

Here in Carmel, the Carmel Republican Committee strives to answer that call every day. We welcome anyone who wants to help make America, New York State, Putnam County, and our town the greatest they can be. If you’d like to join us in keeping this Great American Experiment thriving, reach out at [email protected].

Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸
