LesserEvil, the iconic snack company known for organic products free from seed oils and filled with fun, is poised to celebrate its first anniversary in its new Town of Southeast warehouse space.

Widely recognized for its logo – a whimsical guru sitting on the front of colorful packaging – LesserEvil found its new home in July 2025 at Lincoln Logistics’ 84×684 Crossings on Pugsley Road off Route 312 in Brewster.

Recently acquired by the Hershey Company, LesserEvil marks this anniversary with explosive growth and a new product launch later this year. In addition to popcorn, it makes Cheezemos cheese curls, Moonions onion snacks, and cheddar Space Balls at its Danbury factory.

Following a soft opening a few weeks ago, Box Office Cinemas in the Carmel Shoprite Plaza on Route 52 had their official ribbon cutting on Friday, June 19, organized by the Greater Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce.

While streaming has brought more entertainment into our homes, it’s no substitute for going to the movies. A quiet theatre setting and cutting-edge projection and audio block distractions so that movie goers can enjoy an immersive and communal experience.
What a plus for our community and for Putnam County families, and what a great excuse to eat popcorn.
Discount Tuesdays offer $7 admittance. Welcome Box Office Cinema!
