The Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue earned first place in Division B at the 2026 South Atlantic Lifesaving Association (SALA) Championships, held in Jax Beach, Florida. Carolina Beach secured the top finish in their division by placing in multiple events that challenged the team’s technical rescue skills, ocean safety knowledge, physical ability, and endurance. The exceptional teamwork displayed contributed to their success in the competition.

The SALA Championships bring together ocean rescue teams from across the southeastern United States to compete in a variety of demanding challenges. These events highlight the impressive skill set required of ocean rescue lifeguards.

Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue is grateful for the continued encouragement and support from the community.
