BRAS 4 A CAUSE | OUR WHY

Bras 4 A Cause was created to raise awareness about women's health by educating and encouraging women to prioritize preventive care and recommended breast cancer screenings. Our mission extends beyond awareness as we also strive to support individuals who have been diagnosed with breast cancer by encouraging people to donate to our local breast cancer assistance fund at CHI hospital.

Through Bras 4 A Cause, we aim to empower women to take charge of their health, encourage conversations about breast cancer prevention and screening, and remind those facing a diagnosis that they are not alone.

Together, we can make a difference - one bra, one conversation, and one life at a time.

💗 National Wear It Pink Day is Friday, October 23, 2026! 💗

Foster County Public Health encourages everyone in our community to wear pink clothing or accessories throughout the day in support of breast cancer awareness!

📸 Show us your pink! Take a picture with your coworkers, friends, or family while wearing pink, post it on social media, and tag us!

Why wear pink? Wearing pink helps raise awareness about breast cancer research, the importance of early detection, and support for those affected by breast cancer.

Let’s turn our community pink and show our support together!

BRAS 4 A CAUSE brings our community together to raise awareness about women’s health and support local individuals affected by breast cancer.

Your donations to CHI’s Breast Cancer Assistance Fund help provide gas cards for those traveling to follow-up ultrasounds after mammograms and care packages for individuals diagnosed with breast cancer.

Every donation makes a difference! Together, we can ease the burden, provide support, and remind our neighbors they are not alone.

Help us make a difference, one donation at a time! CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington

October is National Bullying Prevention Month.

Bullying can be hard to talk about, especially if your child is experiencing it, witnessing it or isn’t sure what to do when they see it. You don’t need to have all the answers. Starting the conversation is a great first step.

Four Ways You Can Help
1. Talk about kindness.
2. Help them use their voice.
3. Make checking in part of your routine.
4. Let them know you’re there.

Explore more tips and resources from Parents Lead to help you talk with your child about bullying, kindness and standing up for others.
