You are not the only one who needs a yearly wellness check.

Water quality is one piece of the cancer prevention puzzle. If you are a private well owner, test your well water yearly for contaminants like bacteria, arsenic, and nitrate, which are often odorless, tasteless, and not removed by boiling water.

At-home water quality tests may not always be accurate, so collecting a sample to be analyzed by a lab is the best way to determine the safety of your water.

Carroll County Environmental Health can help determine possible sources of contaminants by collecting and analyzing your water at no or low cost, trace how they entered the system, and recommend remedial procedures.
