Congratulations to the City of Casey on being award $50,000 in Iowa Department of Natural Resources REAP Grant funds! Grant funds will be used in the Abrum Rutt Park to assist with renovations of the shower/restroom facilities and the construction of a new open air shelter. The Iowa Energy Office, part of the Iowa Economic Development Authority, is launching the Industrial Efficiency Grant Program to help Iowa’s small industrial and manufacturing businesses reduce energy costs, improve productivity and strengthen competitiveness.

The two-phase program offers funding for planning and implementing energy improvements:
Design assistance — Up to $5,000 per award to help cover feasibility studies, engineering analysis and project development. Applications open November 2 and are due November 30, 2026.

Project funding — Grants of $15,000 to $500,000 to put energy-saving and process improvements into practice. Applications are expected to open in May 2027.

Applicants do not need to receive design assistance funding to apply for project funding.

Mix of state, federal and utility-funded programs and initiatives that provide energy-economic benefits for Iowa’s citizens, businesses and organizations.

The FY2027 Round 2 Notice of Funding Availability for Iowa’s Railroad Revolving Loan and Grant (RRLG) Program announces approximately $2 million in financial assistance to support projects that enhance rail infrastructure, stimulate economic activity, and strengthen the statewide transportation network.
