Whether youβre a new firearm owner or simply want to sharpen your knowledge, this class is designed to promote safe, responsible firearm ownership right here in Carroll County.

American Legion Post 143 Commander Steve Fuller is concerned about the communication issues with the current phone system located at the Post. To hopefully resolve these issues, the Commander is suggesting that any communication needed should be directed to his personal phone at 770-301-3221.

American Legion Post 143 held its 4th Annual Scholarship Awards Night on 21 May 2026. Temple High School graduate, Madeline C. Miller was recognized for her outstanding academic accomplishments, leadership skills, extracurricular involvement, and community service. All while maintaining a 4.4 GPA. Not to mention other prestigious honors too numerous to mention here.
Claire was selected from twenty-one applicants to receive the $1000 Dr. Robert Hilliard Memorial Scholarship.
She will be attending UGA this Fall and will be majoring in Microbiology. Claire was presented with a Legion certificate and medal along with a $1000 check. (Mom's pictured holding the check to ensue it's in safe hands)
