Firefighter Aubrey Elmore has graduated with his Fire Science Degree from West Georgia Technical College‼️

This degree covers fire administration, supervision, hydraulics, and protection systems. Building upon basics learned in recruit school and on the job training, a Fire Science Degree is the foundation and beginning to leadership within the fire service.

Firefighter Joseph Ivey has graduated with his Fire Science Degree from West Georgia Technical College‼️

This degree further builds on the basics learned in the academy and builds a foundation for your career. The commitment towards further education is something we strive for at the Carrollton Fire Department and it is awesome to see younger Firefighters buying into that mentality‼️

Today we have promoted a new Lieutenant to replace one that has retired‼️

Engineer David Schling was promoted from Engine 21 C shift to the rank of Lieutenant. He will now serve our community as the leader of Engine Company 24 and Station Leader.

Lt. David Schling has served almost 10 years with Douglas County Fire where he left as a Driver/Engineer and has served the Carrollton Fire Department for 5 years where he has worked his way from plug man to his current role as Lieutenant . He brings a wealth of knowledge with him into his current role, and is a vital part of our current leadership standards.

Everyone, please help us in congratulating our new Officer and wish him luck with his new leadership role‼️
