Carroll County NAACP Branch 5179-B joins communities across our nation in honoring and remembering the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States.

Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that freedom comes at a cost. We pause today to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of those who gave their lives for our country.

We also honor the legacy of African American servicemen and women whose dedication, patriotism, and sacrifices helped shape this nation throughout history. Their contributions and sacrifices must never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and loved ones today, may we take time to remember those who are no longer with us and keep their families in our thoughts and prayers.

It’s time to make your voice heard! Voters across the state are heading to the polls today for the Georgia primary.

⏰ Polls are open until 7 p.m. As long as you are in line by 7 p.m., you will be allowed to cast your ballot.

📍 Remember: You must bring your valid photo ID and vote at your designated polling place on Election Day. Double-check your voting location, view your sample ballot and monitor local lines before you head out by visiting the Georgia My Voter Page (mvp.sos.ga.gov).

Early voting in Carroll County runs through May 15th at the Carroll County Election Office (997 Newnan Rd, Carrollton).

📍 Additional Location:
A second early voting site will be open at Powell Park Recreation Center in Villa Rica during the final week: May 11 – May 15 (Monday–Friday).
