🎉 Congratulations to Erika Laycox, one of this year’s Back to School Supply Grant winners!

Erika's a first-grade teacher at Fremont Elementary School at Carson City School District, with 14 years of experience teaching kindergarten and first grade in a Title I school. Her goal is to create a classroom where every child feels safe, supported and excited to learn.

With her $750 grant from National Life Group, Erika plans to invest in flexible seating, organizational supplies, social-emotional learning resources, technology accessories and other materials designed to help her first graders build independence, manage their emotions and find the learning environment that works best for them.
