This Friday, September 18th, CHS Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) will host a powerful visual display in front of CHS highlighting the real-world consequences of reckless, distracted, and impaired driving.

We encourage our students to stop and reflect. One decision can change everything.

Yesterday, we proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Columbus Early Childhood Center, a beautiful facility created especially for our youngest learners. Tomorrow, we officially open the doors and welcome our students for their very first day!
This exciting milestone would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of so many. We are grateful for the continued support of Mayor Daniel Reiman and the Carteret Borough Council, whose partnership and commitment to our schools have helped make projects like this possible. We also extend our appreciation to DMR Architects, EPIC, and M&M Construction for their partnership in bringing our vision for this facility to life.
Every detail of the Columbus Early Childhood Center was designed with our youngest learners in mind, creating a welcoming and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, grow, and thrive.
We can’t wait to see it filled with our students tomorrow!

Our administrative team came together for our annual leadership retreat, centered around this year’s theme, NEXT LEVEL Carteret: Stronger Together!
Through meaningful conversations, strategic planning, and a little team-building fun, we worked together to identify the priorities that will continue moving our schools and students forward. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and even more excited about where we’re headed next!

Welcome to Carteret!
We were excited to welcome our newest teachers and staff during New Teacher and Staff Orientation and introduce them to the schools, community, and people that make Carteret such a special place to serve.
Our newest team members took a bus tour throughout the district, visiting our schools and some of Carteret’s highlights, including the Carteret Waterfront Marina and Carteret Performing Arts Center. It was a great opportunity to see firsthand the community our students call home and all that Carteret has to offer.
We’re thrilled to welcome these talented new members to the Carteret Public Schools family and can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make in our schools and across our district.
Welcome to the team and welcome to Carteret!
