Clear Creek Robotics had a GREAT day at the Bartow County Robotics Scrimmage!

Our team came home with the Engineering Excellence Award! 🎉 We are so proud of our students for demonstrating the FIRST LEGO League Core Values through teamwork, gracious professionalism, and learning from others.

Today was about more than robots! Our team had the opportunity to learn from other teams, exchange ideas, and grow in both robot design and our innovation project. Every experience makes us stronger! 💚💙

We’ve been doing some random number drawings each week! These students’ numbers were drawn and they got to Pick a Prize just for being at school that day! You never know when or who we’re going to draw!

Pre-K classes celebrated our 5th Annual Touch-a-Truck event recently. This year’s event had the most vehicles we have ever had. We had a street sweeper from the Sanitation Department and a mini-excavator from the Water Department from City of Cartersville. We also had a bucket truck from City of Cartersville Electric. There were several cars from the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office and multiple vehicles from the Bartow County Fire and Emergency Services. A UPS Truck and a Chick-fil-A Distribution truck were also part of this event. Our students especially enjoyed exploring our very own Bartow County Schools Resource Officer, Officer Blake’s, police car.

Here are a few pictures from Ms. Milam and Ms. Roland’s Pre-K Class from this special event.

Thank you so very much to everyone who participated in this event. You made Touch-a-Truck a very memorable learning experience for our students.

Our third graders have been working hard on division! Students have been exploring different strategies to solve division equations and build their understanding of how division works. Today, they put their learning into action by using magnetic counters to solve real-world word problems involving division and writing matching equations to represent their thinking.

We love seeing our mathematicians use hands-on tools, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning to deepen their understanding of division!

Today, we welcomed superintendent Terza, Deputy Superintendent Suttle, Dr. Walper, and Mrs. Creel from our district office for a literacy walk!

Our visitors had the opportunity to visit every literacy classroom and see strong tier one instruction in action through our Arts & Letters curriculum. Our students and teachers had so much to showcase!

We are proud of the intentional instruction happening in our classrooms each day and grateful for our district leaders taking the time to see it firsthand!
