๐๐ EDUCATION PRACTICUM STUDENT SPOTLIGHT ๐
This week, we're proud to spotlight Camilla Iniguez, a senior at Carthage High School participating in our Instructional Practices & Education Practicum program!
Camilla is gaining valuable hands-on classroom experience at Carthage Primary School, where she works alongside her mentor teacher, Jenni Miller.
Mrs. Miller describes Camilla as compassionate, nurturing, and a natural when it comes to connecting with children.
โCamilla has a natural ability to connect with children. She is sweet, caring, and works well with my students.โ
Mrs. Miller also shares that Camilla has earned the respect of her students, and her bilingual abilities have been especially helpful in the classroom. One moment that stood out was Camilla taking time out of her own evening to attend Open House, demonstrating her dedication to her students and school community.
When asked what advice she would give Camilla as a future educator, Mrs. Miller shared:
๐ฌ โAlways show kindness and patience. Never forget the difference you can make in a child's life.โ
โค๏ธ Through our Education Practicum program, students like Camilla are discovering the rewards of teaching while building meaningful relationships and gaining real-world experience in our classrooms.
Thank you to Mrs. Miller and our incredible mentor teachers for investing in the next generation of educators!
๐พ The future of education is bright in Dawg Nation!
