Thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, assisted, donated, and helped make our Night Under the Stars event such a success!

Throughout the evening, we were blessed to raise $3,562.00! Every dollar raised will go toward our annual Shop with a Deputy event, helping make Christmas a little brighter for children in our community.

We are grateful for the generosity and support of our community. It takes all of us working together to make a difference, and we couldn't do it without you! THANK YOU for supporting our deputies, our community, and most importantly, our kids!

HELP KEEP OUR KIDS SAFE!
Motorized bicycles, scooters, and mini-motorcycles are becoming increasingly popular with young people, but they are not toys when operated on Missouri roadways.
You must have a valid driver's license to legally operate a motorized bicycle on public streets and highways. This includes many of the mini-motorcycles and scooters being marketed to young riders.
What is considered a motorized bicycle?
Generally, Missouri law defines a motorized bicycle as a two- or three-wheeled device with an automatic transmission and a motor of 50cc or less, producing less than three gross brake horsepower and capable of traveling no more than 30 mph on level ground.
Parents should also be aware that if a motorized bicycle or mini-motorcycle has a motor larger than 50cc or is capable of traveling faster than 30 mph, it is considered a motorcycle under Missouri law and is subject to motorcycle laws.
If operated on a Missouri roadway — whether it's a city street, county road, or state highway these vehicles must follow the same traffic laws as other motor vehicles, including:
* Stopping at STOP signs
* Driving on the right side of the roadway
* Yielding to approaching traffic when turning left
* Obeying posted speed limits
* Following all other applicable traffic laws
If your child isn't legally able to drive a car, they cannot legally operate a motorized bicycle on the road.

On September 14, 2026, deputies were attempting to locate Logan Baker, who has an active felony warrant for Class D Felony Unlawful Possession of a Fi***rm. Earlier this year, Baker was sentenced to serve 120 days in the Department of Corrections on this charge, but failed to turn himself in.

Baker is believed to have been operating a dark-colored motorcycle that fled from deputies. A perimeter was established, and a drone was deployed to assist with the search, however, Baker was not located.
Baker is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, approximately 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the County Lane 173 area and Kansas Avenue in Carthage.
If you see Baker or know his whereabouts, please contact your local law enforcement agency.
