HIS RUN FROM THE LAW ENDED IN CARTHAGE!

A call of indecent exposure and a man doing the wrong thing at the wrong time turned into much more.
When officers pulled into the trailer park, a male was sitting on his steps smoking w**d. When asked to come to the officer, the male opened the door behind him and placed something inside the door. Officers quickly smelled the odor of burnt ma*****na & placed the male suspect in custody. The evidence was recovered and the suspect was placed in the patrol vehicle.
Another male subject walked up on officers and started questioning the validity of the arrest “of his friend” and demand an answer. He was also placed in cuffs and placed in a patrol vehicle. Both men were taken to Leake County Jail.
The first male subject was later found to be a wanted person from Texas for Possession of Dangerous Drugs. His criminal history turned out to be 31 pages long.

Both individuals are awaiting court action.

Around 12:45 today, Carthage Police Department got a call for a wellness check at a mobile home park in the city limits. Officers quickly, after arriving on scene, notified that they needed the coroner’s office. Leake County Coroner Earl Adams ruled the two unidentified males passed from over exposure to carbon monoxide due to a generator running inside the mobile home.
We’d like to extend our condolences to the family.
