Our first and fourth graders teamed up for a day of discovery at the Fresno Fair! Each first grader was paired with a fourth-grade mentor, making the trip a chance to learn, explore, and build friendships together. Students explored minerals and gems, including petrified wood, “dinosaur poop,” and “desserts” made of rock! Each student chose a polished rock to take home. They also enjoyed a barnyard dance party, visited baby goats and their grown-ups, went catfishing, and watched impressive fruit-carving demonstrations. Some students even brought home hand-carved fruit! Surprise visits from the Sanderson Sisters and Beetlejuice, plus a pirate sighting, added to the fun!
A big thank-you to our parent volunteers for helping everything run smoothly and making this a wonderful day for our students. We appreciate your time and support! ❤️
