Tragic news out of Durham this morning. Prayers for all affected.

This morning, a Durham (NC) firefighter was killed at a building fire in the 400 block of Marly Road. Two other firefighters were injured but are expected to be okay. No other additional or official details have been released, reports WRAL.

We're compiling our information, including late-arrival scene pics as well as radio traffic. Google for latest news reports, or monitor official social sites, for now.

Shout-out to East Coast Towing for providing vehicles for our training. There is no better way to learn and practice extrication skills than on real cars.

Many of you have seen the cars on the Tryon Rd side of our station. Those were not real crashes, bit training props. We have spent the last couple months training on the cars East Coast Towing provided us.

Thank you East Coast Towing!
