Early voting for the 2026 General Election begins Thursday, Oct. 15. Cary residents should plan for increased traffic and potentially limited parking near the Cary Senior Center as early voting overlaps with the SAS Championship at Prestonwood Country Club, Oct. 15–18. Additional activity around Bond Park may also impact traffic and parking, especially on Saturday, Oct. 17. 🗳️

Allow extra travel time, slow down near voting sites, watch for pedestrians, and follow posted parking signs.

Early Voting runs through Oct. 31. Find early voting locations, hours, and voter ID requirements by going to ncsbe.gov/voting. For more information on early voting locations in Cary, check out our latest news release: https://bit.ly/4jmBpVE

Winter weather prep starts before the first snowflake! ❄️

Cary Public Works crews are gearing up for winter during the annual Snow Rodeo on Oct. 16, practicing with plows, salt spreaders, brining equipment, and loose leaf collection trucks.

You may see loose leaf trucks practicing in neighborhoods before the regular collection season begins Nov. 2. These practice runs do not count as the first round of collection; crews will return when the official season begins.

Since 2005, the Snow Rodeo has helped prepare crews to respond when winter weather hits. Cary maintains 3,000 tons of salt and is equipped to treat approximately 980 miles of roads.
