🌟 Big shoutout to our amazing community! 🌟

As a small business in a small town, closing your cafe doors to support our local fire department is no small feat. We are incredibly grateful to the Driftwood & Angus Bar and Grill for standing by us and supporting our only annual fundraising pancake supper.

Thank you for being such a vital part of our community! Your support makes a huge difference. ❤️

**Notice to Local Residents**

Dear Neighbors,

We want to reassure you that there is currently no danger related to the recent fire at the Missouri River Bar. While you may see minimal flames in the rubble, please rest assured that they are contained and manageable.

We appreciate your vigilance and thank you for your calls and concerns. The fire was a very intense and hot fire and thanks to the recent rain, the situation is much more controlled. Firefighters are actively monitoring the area, driving by every few hours to ensure everything remains safe.

The remnants of the fire may continue to smolder for a few days, but we are not concerned about any risk to the community. Please help us spread the word to your neighbors that everything is safe and under control.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Warm regards,
Cascade Volunteer Fire Department

🚨 Community Update: Structure Fire in Hardy Creek🚨

We want to inform everyone that the recent structure fire in Hardy Creek has resulted in a total loss. Thankfully, all family members have been accounted for and are safe.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the mutual aid departments that responded: MANG, Ulm, Wolf Creek, Craig, Dearborn, and Northwest Energy. The biggest thank you to the Angus Bar for providing breakfast for over 25 Firefighters, when the crazy slowed down, had refueling food waiting for us!! It truly takes a village, and thanks to their swift action, we were able to contain the fire to the structure, saving all surrounding campgrounds and homes.

While we are grateful for the safety of our community, we are deeply saddened by the loss of this iconic property. It has been a beloved staple for floating and fishing during the summer and a cherished spot year-round. We will certainly miss it.

Let’s come together as a community to support one another during this time. 💔🙏

Please avoid affected areas. Keeping roads and access points clear is critical so firefighters, law enforcement, and other emergency responders can safely reach these incidents. Do not drive toward fire areas to watch, take photos, or check conditions.

Help keep yourself and your family safe:
• Stay alert for changing conditions — high winds can cause fire to spread rapidly and change direction with little warning.
• Secure outdoor items that could blow into roadways or power lines.
• Stay away from downed power lines and report them immediately.
• Keep your phone charged and monitor official sources for emergency information.
• If you live near an active fire, be prepared to leave quickly if conditions change or evacuation instructions are issued.

Conditions are changing quickly. Please give our responders the space and access they need to work safely.

DO NOT CALL 911 UNLESS THERE IS AN IMMEDIATE THREAT TO HEALTH AND SAFETY, OR YOU ARE REPORTING A FIRE.

Stay alert. Stay clear. Stay safe.
