Join us in celebrating our awesome Friends of the Cashmere Library Group!
We love our Friends!!
They help us in so many ways. fundraising with book sales, running book scholarships, purchasing prizes for our Summer Library Program, helping to pay for presenters, applying for grants, participating in events with set up/ cleanup and helping us to run booths, providing snacks and treats at events, partnering with the city to help pay for items in the library, and more!
Meeting once a month to hear our upcoming programs to decide how they can support us in many ways.

We just had a wonderfully fun watercoloring class last night. Lots of laughs and fun exploring this medium. A HUGE Thank you to Candice Ann for bringing this to our community!
Our class focused on fading, combining colors, beginning techniques and more. The participants left with 3 watercoloring pages, paintbrush, and a small paint palette to practice more at home.

Have you visited the Cashmere Library lately? We are now in the Riverside Center ( 201 Riverside Drive)
We have dedicated spaces for Teens, Kids, and Adults.
There are 6 public computer stations connected to an awesome printer. (You have $5 to use every week with a library card towards prints/copies/faxes)
We now have 3 reservable spaces as well. Check out our website.

Here is a quick run-down of how your public library works:

• Libraries don't make or lose money. We're a publicly funded service, like schools or parks, not a business. Our job is to steward that funding well so everyone can access books, information, programs, technology, and library space.
• The Cashmere Library is a partnership. The City of Cashmere provides the building and its upkeep. NCW Libraries contributes towards those costs. NCW Libraries, funded primarily through property taxes across our district, provides everything inside: staff, furniture, books and materials, programs, technology, and more.

John Jackson is the author of All Roads Lead to Cashmere, a look at the events of 9/11 and the Spirit of America Memorial installed in Cashmere.
