Third Space is a place for young people to connect, create, and be themselves, outside of home and school. Whether you’re a teen looking for somewhere to belong, a parent curious about what we do, or a community member who wants to support local youth, come tour the space, meet our team, and see what we’ve been building.

Stop by anytime between 2 and 7, and bring a friend or your family. We can’t wait to share this space with you! 💙

Let’s be honest, sometimes we all forget. 😅 Where we left our keys, what we came into the room for, and now, what days Mercer Family Resource Center is open!

So here’s your friendly reminder:

🕘 Monday - Thursday, 9 AM - 5 PM

📍 535 W Yellowstone Hwy, Casper, WY 82601

We are no longer open on Fridays, and we’d hate for you to make the trip and find a locked door! This is especially important if you’re planning to enroll your child in one of our upcoming classes, since enrollment has to be done in person by a parent or legal guardian. 🙌

🎉 YOU ASKED, AND WE’RE DELIVERING! 🎉

We’ve had SO much interest in our Life Skills Classes for Youth, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🌟 Thank you, Casper families, for showing up for your kids. 🧡

Starting Monday, November 9, 2026, Mercer Family Resource Center is rolling out classes for kids and teens ages 6-18, split by grade level so every lesson fits where your child is right now:

🎒 K-4th Grade
📚 5th-8th Grade
🎓 9th-12th Grade

Classes for grades K-4th and 5-8th will be held 4-5pm on Mondays (2 separate classrooms for the 2 separate groups) and Wednesdays 4-5pm for grades 9-12. Please reach out to Mercer Family Resource Center at 307-265-7366 with additional questions. Parents/guardians will need to enroll youth in person at our location- 535 W. Yellowstone Hwy. Classes are $10 each.

🌟 LIFE SKILLS CLASSES FOR YOUTH ARE COMING! 🌟

Starting November 9, 2026, Mercer Family Resource Center is rolling out Life Skills Classes for kids and teens ages 6-18! 🎉

Classes are split by grade level so every lesson is age-appropriate and fits where your child is right now:

🧠💪 NEW CLASS: Corrective Thinking for Youth 💪🧠

Peer pressure, stress, conflict... teens deal with a lot. Let’s give them the tools to handle it. 🧡

Mercer Family Resource Center is offering Corrective Thinking, an evidence-based course that helps students build the skills they need for academic, social, and life success!

In this class, teens will learn how to:
✅ Make responsible decisions
✅ Manage stress
✅ Reflect on personal relationships
✅ Resolve conflict peacefully

Through hands-on, collaborative learning, students practice skills proven to help prevent violence and other risky behaviors. 🌱

📅 Starts: Tuesday, October 27, 2026
🗓️ Dates: Tuesdays, 10/27 - 11/24 (5 weeks)
🕓 Time: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
👥 Who: Youth ages 12-18

Ready to learn the facts, ditch the myths, and take control? 💪

Mercer Family Resource Center is offering a free, online To***co and Va**ng class for youth ages 12-18, and teens can do it on their own schedule! 💻✨

📅 Starts: Saturday, October 10
⏰ Registration Deadline: Thursday, October 8
👥 Who: Youth ages 12-18
⏳ Format: One-week, self-paced online course
💵 Cost: FREE
🏅 Bonus: Youth receive a certificate of completion after finishing the class!

📸☀️ What a summer it's been at Mercer Family Resource Center! ☀️📸

August has been a whirlwind and apparently so is September as we're nearing the end of the month! Between preparing for our upcoming Dancing with the Stars of Casper event and our staff soaking up some well-deserved personal time before back-to-school season, things have been BUSY. But we still found time to slow down, recharge, and connect as a team at our staff retreat day at Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park! 🌳💚

A big thank you to Sona Rummel for setting up a fun workout that got everyone up and moving! 💪 What a great way to kick off the day.

We're also so grateful to Lisa Brown for setting up, providing beautiful materials, and guiding us through a meaningful craft activity. We explored our internal fears and how they try to protect us, then created some truly beautiful collages featuring letters written by "Fear" alongside our own rebuttals, choosing not to let fear control our lives. 🎨✉️ It was powerful, eye-opening, and a reminder of the courage it takes to keep showing up for the families we serve.

Our amazing staff brought a wonderful potluck spread (we ate well, friends 😋🍽️), and we wrapped up the day with a team-building Murder Mystery! 🕵️‍♀️🔍 After much sleuthing, the culprit was revealed: Cash McGraw, played by the one and only Craig Mitchell, was the murderer! 😱

Days like this remind us how lucky we are to work alongside such a caring, creative, and fun group of people. Now we're refreshed and ready for a great fall! 🍂
