Wyoming Relay To utilize Wyoming Relay simply dial 7-1-1 to connect with the state relay provider.

Wyoming Relay is a service provided to all residents of Wyoming at no cost that connects individuals who are Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, DeafBlind and/or have a Speech Disability with users of standard telephones. Whether calling on a standard telephone or a text telephone (TTY, a special phone with a typewriter-style keyboard), relay makes communication simple, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Once dialed the caller will be connected to a specially trained operator known as a Communications Assistant (CA). The CA acts as an impartial, two-way "relay" in the conversation reading messages typed on the TTY to the hearing person while typing responses on the TTY back to the deaf caller. Using relay is easy and offers accessible phone options to residents of Wyoming with hearing loss. Friends, family, business associates and services are just a phone call way.

Andy, who stutters, shared that before using Speech-to-Speech, he often worried about how people on the other end of the phone might react. Since discovering the service, that has changed. “I make all my phone calls independently now,” he said.

Andy’s comment came from his real experience using Speech-to-Speech and navigating phone calls in everyday life.

Today's Topic: 75 Years of Human Rights🤟🌍

“In 1951, the World Federation of the Deaf was founded on a belief that deaf people everywhere should enjoy full human rights. Seventy-five years on, that founding commitment is inseparable from the work of our 138 national member organizations, the CRPD and its recognition of national sign languages and deaf culture in all areas of life. The work continues. Deaf people’s rights are human rights.”
