Happy week! We're celebrating our Friends of the Natrona County Public Library with a hot drink station in their volunteer workspace.

Did you know our Friends do more than just support the Library? They also donate books and other materials they receive to organizations throughout our community. This year alone, they've supported nearly 20 organizations beyond the Library, while volunteering 5,165 hours among 45 volunteers.

Our Friends volunteers are an incredible group of people who dedicate their time and energy to making our community a better place, and we're so lucky to have them. The next time you see a Friends volunteer (whether this week or at their next book sale in December), be sure to thank them!

Happy last day of ! This morning we hosted one of our favorite monthly events: Messy Storytime. This time, we made edible mud for the kids to play in after reading some of our favorite autumn-themed stories. As you can see, some participants couldn't wait to dig in (in all senses).

This last batch of quotes is a small portion of what we received this week. If we didn't highlight your response, don't worry; we've saved it for the future, and we appreciate every one.

Check out these photos from today's Storytime! Did you know we host a children's Storytime at least 3 days a week? We even have extra special ones like "Paws to Read" and "Messy Storytime" once a month.

We also have more wonderful responses to the question "Why is the Library Important to you?" to share. If you have an answer to that question you'd like to share with us, be sure to write it down and submit it to the box near the parking lot entrance this week.

We're kicking off with a sneak preview of our staff training yesterday. After a heavy morning of training, we ended the day with a scavenger hunt that mixed our departments and encouraged us to work with staff we don't always get to collaborate with. This was a fun way to get out into the community for the afternoon and remind us that we're all here to support and improve that same community.

Thank you very much to Germaine Wagner for sharing the kind words featured in this post. We have many more wonderful community comments, so expect to see more throughout the week.

Thank you so much to everyone that has submitted so far. We can't wait to share some of these responses next week as part of .

We emptied the box so there should be plenty of room for your submissions over the weekend!
