Here is the outside of our new porch and I will try to get some pictures of the inside. It has really changed the look and available space we have as you come in.
We are going to be closed the week of September 14 through the 19th. It will take us some time getting materials on the shelves and do. Some cleaning. We will try to keep everyone posted. We will have an opening event with coffee and cookies when we are all moved in.

WE WILL HAVE THIS PROGRAM JUNE 24 AT 1PM AT THE SENIOR CENTER. COME IN THROUGH THE BACK DOOR.
Children's Author Emily Kilgore to Tour Kitchigami Regional Library June 22–26th
Minnesota author Emily Kilgore will visit communities across the Kitchigami Regional Library system June 22 through June 26, bringing stories, creativity, and a love of reading to young readers and families throughout the region.
During her visit, Kilgore will share her newest picture book, Huck and Loona, a heartwarming story about friendship, individuality, and understanding. Huck and Loona love spending time together in the Great Northwoods. From cloud-watching to fishing, the two want to do everything together. When they realize they sometimes want to do different things—or that there are some activities the other simply cannot do—they begin to worry that their friendship is over.
Through gentle storytelling and relatable characters, Huck and Loona explores themes of friendship, compromise, grace, and self-acceptance. The book encourages children to embrace their unique strengths, communicate openly, and build healthy relationships with others. Young readers and families attending Kilgore's programs will have the opportunity to hear about the inspiration behind the story and learn more about the creative process of writing children's books.

We will have the summer reading
Plant a seed read
Starting after school is out. Come into the library and get registered.
This year we will continue with the 3 reading levels categories as last year being
480, 960 & 1440.
We will also be using Beanstack to keep track of your reading time.
We also have the paper page to keep track also.
Plant a Seed, Read is rooted in the concept of farm-to-table. A farm grows food that nourishes our bodies; a library grows ideas that nourish our minds. Both food and stories connect us to our family, culture, economy, and ecology. iREAD 2026: Plant a Seed, Read will provide a context for exploring culture, history, science, health, and human connection.
